I was a military BRAT that traveled the world in my youth and was blessed to experience a diverse mix of cultures and cuisines that contributed to my intense love of foods. It was that love of food diversity which sparked an interest in nutrition and world cultures; leading me to study to be an integrative nutrition coach. I received my wellness education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I help to create completely personalized “roadmaps to health” that suit individual body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
My wellness programs for groups & individuals are entailed of necessary nutrition coaching to reduce or eliminate unhealthy behaviors and encourage adoption of healthy habits that are conducive to a higher quality of life. I Develop and conduct onsite health-related wellness seminars and training courses for organizations and deliver customized care plans for program participants which include goals and plans of action. Additionally, distribution of newsletters related to community & individual health and wellness via blogs and email are provided.
In addition to my nutrition background, I hold a bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology from Ashford University. I have an intense thirst for knowledge & travel; I integrate the two by searching out new regional foods and recipes. My current studies have taken me to the University of Wales Trinity Saint David to attain a Masters degree in Engaged Anthropology.
